STD / STI screening (sexually-transmitted diseases / illnesses) is a vital part of fertility care. Infections like chlamydia or gonorrhoea can affect reproductive health without obvious symptoms. Screening ensures a safe, healthy environment for conception, whether naturally or through IVF. Early detection allows for effective treatment, protecting both partners, (as well as clinic and lab staff), and improving your chances of pregnancy.

You and your doctor will work closely to time your menstrual cycle and then begin the COH cycle, which includes daily injections of fertility medications, regular ultrasounds and blood tests, along with regular doctor consultations to adjust medicine where necessary. This process takes about 14 days, after which, the Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) – the egg retrieval procedure – will take place.

Ovum Pick-Up (OPU) or Egg Retrieval, is a short, minor procedure that collects mature eggs from the ovaries after stimulation. Guided by ultrasound, a specialist gently retrieves the eggs using a fine needle. It’s done under light sedation and takes about 20 minutes. Most patients return home the same day to rest comfortably after two-hour monitored recovery. We suggest you have someone to accompany you after the procedure.

Oocyte Freezing, also known as egg freezing, allows women to preserve their fertility by collecting and freezing healthy, unfertilised eggs for future use. It's ideal for those not ready to start a family yet, or facing other medical treatments that may affect fertility. The eggs remain viable for many years. Sperm can also be frozen for similar reasons.

Sperm Retrieval techniques like PESA (Percutaneous Epididymal Sperm Aspiration) and TESE (Testicular Sperm Extraction) are used when sperm is not present in the semen. These minor procedures collect sperm directly from the reproductive tract, making IVF or ICSI possible for men with blockages, low sperm count, or prior vasectomy.

ICSI, or Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection, is a highly precise fertilisation method used in IVF. A single healthy sperm is directly injected into each mature egg to enhance the chances of fertilisation; especially helpful in cases of male infertility. ICSI is performed in the lab under strict, sterile, high-tech conditions. Other sperm treatments are also offered, such as MACS Sperm, surgical sperm retrieval (SSR), such as PESA/TESE.

Embryo Culture is the stage where fertilised eggs (embryos) are carefully monitored as they grow in a controlled lab environment. Over five to six days, embryologists assess their development and quality. Only the healthiest embryos are selected for biopsy, transfer, or freezing, increasing the chances of a successful pregnancy

Embryo Biopsy is a delicate procedure where a few cells are gently removed from a developing embryo—usually on day 5 (blastocyst stage). This sample is then tested for genetic conditions through PGT. The procedure does not harm the embryo and helps identify the healthiest ones for transfer or freezing.
